The Passion light fixture is inspired by Christ’s crown of thorns. The fixture lets light filter softly through the entangled thorns of which the lampshade is made.

If we take a closer look at the lampshade, the structure we thought we had seen turns out to be perfectly flat and as glossy as a sports car. By taking another glimpse at it, however, the lampshade once again reveals itself as three-dimensional.

This dual perception evokes the opposition between the spiritual and the material world, thus resonating with the double nature of Christ as God and Man.
