This composition meets the need to illuminate the inside staircase of a three-storey maisonette in a discreet manner so as to highlight the beauty of the newly renovated original staircase.
The staircase is transformed into a gallery with five small pictures that follows its curved shape. Each picture is actually a panel covered with yellow gold leaves and is individually illuminated by a halogen lamp with a narrow beam. These lamps are grouped together on the central part of the staircase at the floor level of the 1st storey.
When the lighting is switched off the panels capture the natural light that enters through a small window and shine with a warm glow. When it is switched on, it provides through reflection the light necessary to illuminate the staircase and transform it into an abstract and dream-like display.
